Chinese Taipei Pocketed 5 Gold, 5 Silver, 5 Bronze, 23 Excellence in 45th WorldSkills Competition

As the 45th WorldSkills Competition wrapped up in Kazan on August 22, Chinese Taipei totally pocketed 38 medals, including 5 Gold, 5 Silver, 5 Bronze, 23 Excellence. 

 

There were about 1,354 competitors from 63 countries competing for medals in the 45th WorldSkills Competition from August 22 through August 27, 2019 in Kazan. Chinese Taipei organized around 240 member delegation led by Labor Minister Hsu Ming-Chun, participating in 45 skills in total of 56 skills. After 4-day competition, Chinese Taipei won 38 medals, medal-winning rate hitting almost 84% in translation into top 4 among 63 countries.

 

Among that 38 medals, the skills of Mechatronics, IT Software Solutions for Business, Car Painting, Graphic Design Technology, Bakery won gold medals, Autobody Repair, Web Technologies, Electrical Installations, Fashion Technology, Automobile Technology, did a Silver medal, as well as Polymechanics and Automation, Manufacturing Team Challenge, Electronics, Pâtisserie and Confectionery, Plastic Die Engineering did bronze medals.

 

The WorldSkills Juniors was held by Russia for the first time. Chinese Taipei participated in 6 skills in total of 13 skills and totally won 5 medals, including 4 Silver and 1 Bronze. Chinese Taipei won 4 silver medals in Electrical Installations, Mobile Robotics, Restaurant Service and Industrial Control, and bronze medal in Hairdressing.

 

Chinese Taipei schedules August 29 afternoon back to Taiwan.
