WorldSkills International announced that WorldSkills Africa 2020 will make postponement in a bid to ensure that everyone involved will be able to participate in a safe environment.
"Given various risk factors and the unpredictable impact of COVID-19 in Africa at the moment, it has been decided that we will postpone WorldSkills Africa 2020 to 2021 or 2022." said Grace Lung, Senior Manager of Partnership Programmes for WorldSkills International.
WorldSkills International will continue to work closely with WorldSkills Namibia on determining what is the best next steps to ensure delivering a successful programme. Chinese Taipei, one of WorldSkills Capacity Building Centres, keeps collaboration with WorldSkills International on it.
